What They’ll Find When We Leave

This project grow out of walks along the beaches of Svalbard observing and collecting man made detritus washed up on the shore. The objects are laid out on shelves and labeled in the style of an old fashioned archaeological museum exhibit. The labels themselves are titled as if the objects were found in the future, and were being cataloged by researchers who didn’t know exactly what they were. Such objects serve as a mark of human activity and remind us that the world will carry on after we are gone, growing over and reclaiming all that we’ve made. This piece has been shown at Pluss Pluss at Black Box theater in Oslo, and at PrøveRommet at Østre in Bergen.
